Thanks to a Swing Space grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Anja was able to expand her photography project “The Body and Space” by condensing it in ”Changing Room.” Hitzenberger explored the possibilities found in an abandoned storefront (a former photo lab) at 145 Nassau Street in Manhattan. Each week she photographed performers and dancers of different body shapes and movement backgrounds. Our live, multimedia performance of “Barcelona in 48 Hours” was presented at MODAFE, the Modern Dance Festival of Korea, in Seoul on May 30 and 31, 2008. The piece once again starred David Zambrano and Mat Voorter, with a live five-piece band (including Alex Harding, Dave Phillips, Marlene Rice and Yousif Sheronick) led by Edward Ratliff. We all had a great time performing – and eating – in Seoul!
